#FundraisingFriday: Camilla’s Story
Camilla has been kind enough to share her exciting fundraising plans with CLAPA. She’s running not one race, but FIVE, all in support of our vital services.
For 2019 I decided to run five half marathons in five months to raise money for CLAPA.
Running has long been a hobby of mine and I decided it was time to use that hobby to support the work that CLAPA does. The charity has always been very dear to my heart and they provided a lot of support to my sister, who was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, and my family when I was young, so this is a chance to give something back.
From January until May 2019, I’ll be running circa 13 miles five times, all around the South East of England. These include; the Victoria Park Half Marathon (Jan), the Brighton Half Marathon (Feb), the Colchester Half Marathon (March), the Putney & Fulham Half Marathon (April) and finally the Lee Valley Velo Park Half Marathon (April).
I’ll have some friends joining me for some and others on my own. My target is £500 but anything over and above this would be a huge achievement. All your support and donations are greatly appreciated.
