Announcement from The National Surgical Cleft Service in Scotland
The National Surgical Cleft Service is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr David Drake, Consultant OMFS and Cleft surgeon.
“Mr Drake is an established cleft surgeon within the UK and will take up post on the 1st November 2018.
As a new consultant to the Scottish Surgical Service there will be a 2 month transition period from that date to allow him time to be introduced and become familiar with the local clinical teams.
His appointment will bring the surgical team to a full complement of 3 and therefore early next year the Clinical Lead, Mr Craig Russell, will meet with other NHS Boards to discuss and agree collaboratively what future surgical service provision and outreach will be in those areas.
The Service looks forward to providing the best service possible to all patients with a cleft condition across Scotland.”
