Baby Shower and Raffle Raises £2000
When Natalie Ryans and her partner Brett found out that their baby would be born with a Cleft Lip and Palate, they decided to hold a baby shower and raffle to raise money for CLAPA. With the help of
her Mum (Hayley) and Mother-in-Law (Angela), Natalie managed to put on a great shower that raised nearly £2000 for CLAPA. “I am so proud and over the moon that we managed to raise so much, we didn’t even expect to hit the £500 mark!” says Natalie.
They held various activites on the day for instance a ‘name a bear competition’ and ‘arts sale’ raising £400 from the baby shower alone. However it was the raffle that brought in the greatest amount of money. Natalie and her Mother-in-law wrote to various companies and managed to get some fantastic prizes for the raffle, they were overcome with how generous people were.
Natalie and Brett’s family are continuing to go above and beyond to raise awareness for CLAPA and Cleft Lip and Palate and have some ‘top secret’ fundraising ideas for the future. Until then their attention will be directed towards the arrival of Tommy who is due in the next 4 weeks time.
A huge thanks to Natalie, Brett and family for all their hard work, and best of luck with the arrival of Tommy!
