CLAPA Launches New Young Adults Focus Group
CLAPA is delighted to announce the launch of a new Young Adults Focus Group to support our work with young adults born with a cleft in the UK.
The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) has launched a new focus group for young adults aged 18 – 25 born with a cleft lip and/or palate.
This new group will help to shape, support, and guide CLAPA to deliver the right services for young adults.
Members will meet over Zoom every two months to discuss topics such as gaps in services, recent experiences, service improvement ideas and much more. Each meeting will also be facilitated by the Adult Services Coordinator at CLAPA.
This group will help CLAPA to develop an engaging range of services to support young adults in the cleft community. Members will offer their experiences and insights to analyse feedback from previous events and evaluate CLAPA’s website and resources to ensure they remain current, accurate, and supportive of young adults. As we’re currently working to put together CLAPA’s strategy for 2025 and beyond, this is a particularly exciting time to get involved.
It’s important to CLAPA that this new group includes a range of voices, and applicants of all backgrounds, experiences and walks of life are encouraged to apply.
If you have any queries or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact Becky Croft, the Adult Services Coordinator, at [email protected].
