Coen’s Charity Auction
We are saying a big thank you to Coen (aged seven) for raising an incredible £2,342.50 by selling his artwork at a charity auction.
Inspired by his little brother Cormac, who was born with a cleft, Coen wanted to raise awareness through his love of art.
With the support of his parents, Marissa and Michael, Coen hosted a charity auction at West Kirby Bookshop on the 3rd of September and drummed up support through their local press and Instagram.
His father, Michael, told us, ‘The generosity of attendees and online contributors was fantastic. Our top seller was Lot 4 – Powerstrike at £200. Our most popular was Lot 2 – Aussie Sunset, which sold at £175. That went down well with our Australian visitors!’
He explained,’ Coen threw us a curveball late last week and said he wanted to do a special, exhibition-only canvas to be revealed on the day!
It was very popular with the locals, called Beach Sunset, and was a painting of our beach here in West Kirby with the Clwydian Range in the background and Marine Lake in the foreground.’
Thank you so much for your incredible fundraising! If Coen has inspired you, find out how to start fundraising today.
