#FundraisingFriday Ava’s Story
Ava’s mum, Emma, got in touch with CLAPA to tell us all about her daughter’s fantastic fundraising efforts!
My daughter Ava was born with a cleft lip and was operated on at 12 weeks old.
As a thank you to CLAPA for all of their support in helping Ava lead a normal life we have been fundraising for the charity for the past year.
Along with other fundraising activities, Ava has held stalls at local events. As she was recently crowned Miss Belle North East Princess Ambassador 2018, she and her friend Nicole-Jade, a Miss Teen Great Britain contestant, decided to hold a charity pageant as her final fundraiser.
On Sunday 12th August 2018, we were delighted to hand over a check for £2,619 to CLAPA!
We hope this money helps CLAPA as much as possible. We are continuing to raise money for them as time goes on too, to help them to support children like Ava and their families well into the future.
