#FundraisingFriday: Lewis Ryan
It’s #FundraisingFriday and today we want to take some time to thank Lewis Ryan! Lewis was born with a cleft lip and palate and chose to take on the London 10K for CLAPA in 2015. This year, Lewis is aiming even higher – sky high, you could say! – and taking on a tandem skydive in June to raise valuable money for our services.
As well as taking on this challenge of a life time, Lewis works as a chef, and has organised a fundraising dinner on 11 April at The Wickhambrook Greyhound & Twenty One in Suffolk. The price is £25 for a set three course menu and there will also be a raffle on the night, with some fab prizes to win!
If you live nearby, and fancy a night of lovely food and good company in aid of CLAPA, we’ve got good news – there are still places left! Get in touch with Lewis by email on [email protected] for more info and to book. You better act fast though, as the story has made the local newspaper and we’re sure spots will fill quickly!
When asked why he’s chosen to take on two big events for CLAPA this year, Lewis told us:
‘I was born with a cleft lip and palate and I have raised money quite a few times for the charity as the support and the work they do is amazing. The treatment I have received has been amazing and as I am coming towards the end of my treatment, I feel this is a time to celebrate and give as much as I can back and raise awareness for the charity.’
A huge thank you to you, Lewis, we can’t wait to hear how the events go and we are sending warm wishes as you come to the end of your treatment pathway.
