The Soham Staploe Rotary Club
This Thursday we want to say a huge thank you to The Soham Staploe Rotary Club for giving us a generous £757! Until recently the Club’s President was Alan Robinson, whose daughter was born with a cleft palate.
Each year, the Soham Staploe Rotary Club hold a formal dinner, at which they hold a raffle. The President of the Club then gets to pick the charity to which the proceeds are donated, and Alan picked CLAPA!
“Although our daughter, Emily, only had a cleft of the soft palate, which was successfully repaired at six months, we very much appreciated the support and knowledge-base that CLAPA provided at that time. I wanted to acknowledge also the unique and essential service that CLAPA provides over the longer term to parents and children with much more severe issues than those faced by Emily. Fourteen years on, I am happy to have been able to acknowledge our gratitude in this small way.”
