Snowden Challenge
Paul Barrington (soon to be Parent Contact) completed the gruelling Snowdon Challenge along with friends Greg Mear and Richie Heynes, to raise money for CLAPA. Paul’s daughter, Seren, was born with a cleft lip and palate.

World Champion
Bailey Walsh was born April 2003 with a cleft lip and palate. Since the age of three, Bailey has studied a mix of Tae Kwon Do, Kick Boxing and Kung Fu and has excelled in these to a competitive level.

Disney’s The Lone Ranger and The Portayal of Cleft Lip
We’re extremely disappointed to see that Disney are once again cashing in on prejudice by giving their villain in the upcoming Lone Ranger film a very visible prosthetic cleft lip as part of his ‘look’ as an evil, sinister character. Not only is this incredibly lazy storytelling, it’s also sending a deeply harmful message that will impact the 90,000 people that were born with a cleft in the UK as well as others worldwide.
