Grandparents’ Coffee Club
This event is for grandparents of a child born with a cleft lip and/or palate in the United Kingdom. If you are a parent (including those who are expecting) or carer, you are also welcome to join.
Join us for our next CLAPA Information Evening for parents, grandparents and carers, focusing on the topic of weaning, held on Wednesday 18th February 2026 at 7.30pm. Kindly funded by Smile Train.

We are very pleased to welcome Clinical Nurse Specialist, Helen Robson to the event, to answer some of your questions, as well as our fantastic CLAPA volunteers who are happy to share their lived experience with you.
The event is open to all parents, carers, grandparents and family members in the cleft community, welcoming those right at the beginning of their cleft journey as well as those who are into the stages of weaning already. Come along to meet others, ask questions and share experiences in a safe space, you’re also welcome to sit back and listen in if you’d prefer.

All parents, carers and family members are welcome
As always, we welcome parents/carers at any stage of their parenting journey, including those who might have older children and wish to share their experiences to offer support. Other close relatives, including grandparents, are welcome to join this event if they would find it helpful.

Accompanied children can join
Children are welcome to join but must be accompanied for the duration by a parent/carer. If you have children (who aren't participating in the discussion) around please don't feel you need to have a private quiet space, as we can mute your microphone unless you are speaking.
