Who we are

As members of the Children and Young People’s Council, we have the chance to represent other young people who were born with a cleft in the UK, to have our say in shaping CLAPA’s services, to make new friends, to have fun, and to make a difference.

We meet regularly and have an exciting adventure weekend away each year, getting involved in lots of important work in between.

We have worked not only with CLAPA, but also with researchers and Cleft Teams on leaflets, webpages and other resources aimed at young people, helping them to think about the language and images they use, and the messages they want to put across.
