Trusts, foundations and philanthropy

Grants and donations from charitable trusts and foundations are among the key ways CLAPA funds its vital services for children, adults, and families affected by cleft across the UK.

Philanthropy & Trusts

In recent years, grants from trusts and foundations have enabled us to test new approaches to supporting adults born with a cleft, to provide online mentoring for young people when changing schools and to ensure the patient voice is heard by health and social care organisations.

We can work closely with you to select a specific project that best suits the values and vision of your organisation.

Our Supporters

We’re proud to have received generous support from a range of trusts and foundations, including:

  • National Lottery Community Fund
  • BBC Children in Need
  • SmileTrain USA
  • Garfield Weston Foundation

Grants range from £50 to hundreds of thousands of pounds, and every gift—no matter the size—helps people affected by cleft to reach their full potential.

Partner With Us

As a grant-maker, you can support CLAPA in creating lasting change and making a meaningful impact. Your gift will:

  • Fund essential services and support programmes
  • Help us reach underserved communities
  • Enable people affected by cleft to thrive

Every contribution comes with regular, personalised updates, so you’ll always know how your support is being invested and the difference it’s making.

Let’s Talk

We’re always looking to grow our income from trusts and foundations. If you:

  • represent a charitable trust or foundation,
  • know of a grant opportunity CLAPA could apply for,
  • are interested in making a philanthropic gift,

Please get in touch with Denise Robson, Trust and Grants Fundraiser [email protected].

Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by cleft in the UK.
