Philanthropy helps us ensure that no one affected by cleft in the UK will go through their journey alone.

CLAPA is a independent, specialist charity. We do not receive any government or NHS funding, so every philanthropic gift helps us continue our life-changing work.

I’m so proud MJ Ball money supports CLAPA to run these life-changing Camp CLAPA weekends, and their other work to support and empower young people born with a cleft.

Why join the CLAPA family?

By making a philanthropic gift you can help us build a future where:

  • Families receive guidance from the very first moment.
  • Young people grow up confident and self-advocating.
  • Peer support networks thrive, reducing isolation and fear.
  • Cleft care is not only accessible, but compassionate and inclusive.

We want you to feel empowered by your giving and are here to work with you every step of the way. Together we can build a partnership that meets your philanthropic interests and demonstrates the life-changing impact of your support.

You can choose to give to the area of greatest need or select one of our priority activities that best reflects your interests. Whatever you decide, your support will make a tangible difference for people affected by cleft in the UK.

Examples of your impact

  • £1,500

Could fund a 6 week Baby sign course for families affected by cleft

  • £2,500

Could funds 50 welcome packs of special bottles, teats and information for new families

  • £10,000

could fund a Camp CLAPA weekend for 16 young people born with a cleft

In return for your generosity, we can build a bespoke relationship that meets your needs and preferences. You will receive:

  • A personal relationship manager who is there to support you every step of the way.
  • Regular updates sharing the impact of your giving in the format and frequency that works best for you.
  • The opportunity to get more involved, with invitations to events or activities that connect you to the community you are supporting.
  • And the chance to see your support acknowledged on a special page on our website, depending on your personal preference.
